What does the Shift Manager role do?

In Sesame, there is a specific role designed to manage shift timetables. The administrator can designate any employee as a Shift Manager, even if the person already has another role assigned.

With this role, any employee can manage the shift timetables of the employees/groupings assigned to them.

How is the Shift Manager role assigned?

It's very easy! Just follow this route:

Configuration >> Roles and accesses >> Shift manager >> "Holders" column >> Select the role holder.

Next, you will need to select the groupings to be managed. Once you do that, you will be able to assign:

  • the whole company,
  • one or more workplaces,
  • one or more departments,
  • one or more employees.

Once the selection is complete, you will be able to view a list of all employees assigned the Shift Manager role, along with the groupings or entities they are responsible for.

Bear in mind that the Shift Manager has full authority over the shifts assigned to them and can perform the same functions as users with general roles.
