How to request absences and leaves from work?

As an employee, you can request absences and leaves from work by accessing the 'Time off' section in the menu on the left-hand side of your Sesame dashboard.

Time off >> Request time off 

You may request all available time off. 

  • First of all, you need to pick between absence and leave from work
  • Depending on the type selected, you will need to choose one of the available types.
  • You will then have to determine how much time you will take in this absence. You may choose between hours or days. If you choose absence by hours, you can't choose a date range; you can only choose a specific day. To select the days in the calendar, click on the first day, drag and drop and click again on the last day.
  • You have the option to add a comment for your time off validator. 
  • On the right you'll see a summary of your request.
  • To send your request you need to click on “Request”.

Check carefully before finalising. If you accidentally select the wrong days, don't worry; you can easily deselect them by clicking on them again. Once you've submitted your request, your validator will receive a notification to approve or reject it.

In either situation, you, as an employee, will also be notified through a notification. We will alert you once it has been processed.
