What are coverage shifts (auto-assign shifts)?

Coverage shifts let you specify how many people you need to cover a specific shift on a given day.

How to add coverage

  1. In the Shifts view, click the "+" button in a cell and select "Add coverage".
  2. Fill in:
    1. Date range the coverage applies to.
    2. Number of employees required.
    3. Roles/positions that must cover the shift.
  3. Click "Save". If everything looks good, you’ll see the confirmation: Coverage set!

The cell will display how many employees are still pending assignment for that shift.

You can assign employees manually, but only among those who match the roles defined in the coverage. You can edit or delete the coverage at any time.

You can ask the AI chat to auto-complete the coverage for you.
