What is workday rounding up?
Workday rounding up automatically adjusts employees' clock ins and clock outs to prevent small mismatches from affecting the calculation of the workday.
When this option is enabled, the system rounds the clock in/out times to the nearest configured value. This is especially useful when employees start or end their workday a few minutes before or after the scheduled time.
Example: if the workday is set from 09:00 to 18:00:
- If an employee clocks in at 08:57, the system adjusts the clock in to 9:00
- If an employee clocks out at 18:03, the system adjusts the clock out to 18:00.
Important: workday rounding up only works if the employee has a fixed schedule or shift assigned, since there must be a defined start and end time as a reference.
You can set up this option in: Configuration >> Automations >> Clock ins/outs >> Workday rounding.
