Why can’t my employees or I clock in/out?

If one of your employees is having trouble clocking in/out, these could be the reasons:


Location permissions (on web or app)

Make sure they have location permissions enabled both in their web browser and in their phone settings, if you have the option to require coordinates enabled.
 

 

How do I enable location permissions?

  • On the web: the employee must click the padlock icon in their browser (next to Sesame’s URL) and, in the menu, allow access to Location.

 

  • In the app: the employee must go to their phone Settings >> find the Sesame app >> Location and select Allow while using the app.

 

Tablet clock in/out error

Check that employees are entering their access code and PIN correctly. How?

  1. In the side menu, go to the Employees section.
  2. Find the employee and open their profile.
  3. In the Access tab, you’ll find the Access code and PIN fields.
  4. Make sure they’re entering the correct current PIN, or assign a new one if needed.

⚠️Remember to save any changes using the Save changes button.
