What are performance indicators?

The performance indicators (also known as the "Cost table") give you a complete view of the cost and performance of your planning, so you can organise your resources in line with your business objectives.

You'll find this feature in the toolbar of the Shifts timetable, in the "Employees" view.

With the cost table, you can:

  • Compare your estimate against the actual cost of your shifts.
  • Monitor the budget and detect variances in real time.
  • Analyse business performance minute by minute.
  • Download the data in XLSX, CSV, or PDF to share with your team.

For the performance indicators to display correctly, you need to assign a gross salary to employees from Employee profile >> Contracts >> Salary.

How do I access the performance indicators?

  1. Open the Shifts timetable and, in the "Employees" view toolbar, click the Performance indicators icon ($). Select the "Estimated" or "Actual" tab depending on what you want to view.
  2. Click "Synchronize schedule" when you make changes to your employees' shift planning so that the comparison reflects the latest data.
  3. Customise the indicators shown in the table by clicking "Indicator display". Simply enable or disable the indicators you want to see at that moment.
  4. You can also reuse the cost estimate from one week to the next. Simply click the three dots and then "Copy estimate". The system will copy the current week's planning to the following week so you don't have to start from scratch.

What indicators are available?

The table shows 15 indicators organised into two tabs: Estimated (based on planning) and Actual (based on clock ins/outs).

Volume and sales indicators 🛍️

  • Business volume ($): revenue generated from the sale of products or services, entered by you per day from the table.
  • Sales volume (units): total number of products or services sold, entered by you per day from the table.
  • Average transaction value ($): automatically calculated as Business volume ÷ Sales volume.

Team and hours indicators ⏰

  • Number of employees: in the "Estimated" tab, employees with planned shifts; in the "Actual" tab, employees who have clocked in.
  • Planned / worked hours: total hours assigned or clocked, excluding time off.
  • Productivity per hour ($/h): how much your company generates for every hour worked.
  • Product volume per hour (/h): how many products or services are generated per hour worked.

Cost indicators 💸

  • Employee cost ($): calculated from the hourly cost configured in the employee's profile.
  • Cost/Sales: the ratio between employee cost and the sales volume generated.
  • Sales/Cost: the ratio between sales volume and employee cost.

Payroll indicators 💰

  • Average gross cost per employee ($): average gross hourly rate × (hours worked + paid time off).
  • Gross cost of the entire workforce ($): total gross cost of the workforce, broken down into cost per effective working hour and cost per time off.
  • Percentage of revenue allocated to salaries (%): calculated as Gross cost of the entire workforce ÷ Business volume × 100.

Can I download the indicators?

Yes. When you want to export the table, click the three dots and then "Download indicators", choose your preferred format: PDF, Excel (xlsx), or CSV. The file will download automatically.
