How do I manage the time margins I've created?

Once you have created one or more margins, you can manage them from Configuration >> Time management >> Time margins.

Click the quick actions button (three dots) to access a menu with all the available options: preview, edit, duplicate, view assigned employees, or delete.

Preview

Opens the margin detail view, which has two tabs: Configurations, where you have a summary of the criteria governing it, and Assignments, where you can see which employees, workplaces, groups, or departments have it applied.

Use this option when you want to confirm how a margin is configured or before making "major changes".

Edit

Takes you back to the margin creation process, with all the values you have already defined loaded.

Bear in mind that, if the margin you edit has employees assigned, the change will trigger a recalculation of hours. This process may take several minutes, and while it lasts:

  • You cannot edit the margin.
  • You will not be able to manage the compensation of the affected employees.

As soon as the recalculation finishes, we will send you a notification. Be patient with this process: it is normal for it to take a few minutes, especially if many employees are assigned.

Duplicate

Creates as many variants of the same margin as you want without having to configure it again from scratch. Bear in mind that you will need to assign the copy to employees, as it does not carry over the employees of the original.

When duplicating, the system will ask you to name the copy. You can edit it later without affecting the original.

View assigned employees

Takes you directly to the "Assignments" tab of the margin detail, to check or modify who it applies to.

Use this option before making "major changes", so you are aware of the actual scope of the recalculation you are going to trigger.

Delete

If the margin has no assigned employees or application history, delete it. If the margin does have assigned employees or history, you can choose between two options when clicking "Delete":

  • Delete going forward. Choose this option when you want the margin to stop applying from today (the query date). Past time will not be affected.
  • Delete all history. Choose this option when you want to remove all assignments (past and future) and have hours, balances, and statistics recalculated from the start of its application.
