Do time margins affect the calculation of multiplier and categorization rules, or are they independent?
They work in a cascade. The time margin first determines whether hours worked exceed the thresholds to be considered overtime. Only the time that "survives" this filter (for example, time exceeding the minimum tolerance minutes) is then evaluated against the active multiplier and categorization rules.
