In the process of linking a Sesame account to a device as a fixed clock in/out point so your team can clock in/out, you can also associate clock in/out groups and, within those groups, clock in/out types to that device (remember that these configurations are only possible through Sesame Wall 3.0). Before doing this, you should consider some preliminary points:

What are clock in/out groups?

They are container folders that group or associate clock in/out types that share the criteria you've chosen for them to be part of the same group. For example, a group can consist of all the clock in/out types in a company, at a workplace, or in the same department.

You can have as many clock in/out groups as you want.

To enable clock in/out groups, follow this path:

Configuration >> Schedules >> Clock in/out types >>

There, activate the Enable clock in/out groups button so that the Clock in/out groups tab becomes enabled in the Clock in/out types view. In this configuration, you can also activate the View disabled clock in/out groups option and View disabled clock in/outs.

When you enable clock in/out groups, the corresponding tab will appear from which you can view all created clock in/out groups as well as the Create clock in/out group button.

When creating a clock in/out group, you can enter a name and set a color. Confirm the creation by clicking Create.

Add clock in/out types to clock in/out groups and link groups to tablet devices

In each clock in/out group, you can add as many clock in/out types as you want from those previously created. Click the +Add button and select the clock in/out types you're interested in for each group. They will appear in a list.

When assigning a clock in/out type that was previously linked to a device, a warning will appear indicating this and offering either the option to unlink that clock in/out type from the device or to link the entire clock in/out group to that particular device.

From the device configuration itself, you can also link clock in/out types and clock in/out groups.

Link clock in/out groups from the tablet device configuration
 

On each device, you can configure the clock in/out types and clock in/out groups you want. You can also do this from the device configuration itself at: Configuration >> Devices >> Tablet.

You'll find a list of all the devices you have configured. Click on the three dots on the right and select Edit. You can enable these three actions:

• Allow clock outs from this device.
• Allow pausing.
• Assign clock in/out types to this device.

When you enable this action, all the clock in/out types and clock in/out groups you've created will appear, and you can select them to link them to the device you're configuring. Once you've selected all the ones you want to link, confirm by clicking Edit.
