How do I resume the workday after a break using a Suprema device?

It’s very simple, but there are a few important details to keep in mind when clocking in/out biometrically through Suprema devices. The process varies slightly depending on whether you are making a normal clock in/out or using a specific clock in/out type.

  • For a normal clock in/out

-Start the clock in/out by selecting the option for a normal clock in/out on the device.
Place your finger on the reader.
-To start a break (such as a rest break), repeat the process by choosing the break option.
-New! When you want to end the break and resume working, you only need to select the option to resume the clock in/out.
-Then place your finger on the reader. The break will end, and the clock in/out will resume automatically.
-You will not need to clock out of the break and clock back in again.

  • For a specific clock in/out type

-To record your workday using a specific clock in/out type, begin by selecting that option on the device and then place your finger on the reader.
-Repeat the process when you want to start a break.

Important! Right before placing your finger to resume your workday, you must indicate on the device that you want to resume a specific clock in/out type. If you skip this step, the device will start a normal clock in/out instead. Once selected, place your finger on the reader as usual.
