What is the “Custom fields data” bulk upload template, and what is it used for?
Custom fields allow you to add additional information to your employees’ profiles, tailoring them to your company’s specific needs. You can use them to record data such as uniform numbers, usernames for external platforms, or any other relevant information that isn’t included by default.
With the "Custom fields data" template, you can complete this information for multiple employees at once. To do this, you first need to create your own custom fields in Sesame.
How to create a custom field
- Go to Configuration >> Custom fields.
- Click +Add.
- Fill in the information:
- Field name (this will be visible in the employee’s profile).
- Field type (choose from text, number, date, dropdown list, etc.).
- Click Save.
How to use the “Custom fields data” template
Once you’ve created your custom fields, you can use the template to fill in data in bulk.
- Go to Employees >> Import >> Custom fields data.
- Download the template to complete or update the custom field data you created.
- Upload the completed template to import the data into the system.
