How do I manage the rules I've created?

Once you have created one or more rules, you can manage them from Configuration >> Time management >> Multiplier rules / Categorization rules.

Click the quick actions button (three dots) to access a menu with all the options available for that rule: preview, edit, duplicate, view assigned employees, or delete.

If you have several rules that could overlap on the same time worked, use the "Prioritize" function to decide in which order they apply.

Preview

Opens the rule detail view, which has two tabs: Configurations, where you have a summary of the criteria governing that rule, and Assignments, where you can see which employees, workplaces, groups, or departments have it applied and for what period.

Use this option when you want to confirm how a rule is configured or before making "major changes".

Edit

Takes you back to the rule creation process, with all the values you have already defined loaded.

Bear in mind that, if the rule you edit has employees assigned, the change will trigger a recalculation of the balances of those employees. This process may take several minutes, and while it lasts:

  • You cannot edit the rule.
  • You will not be able to manage the compensation of the affected employees.

As soon as the recalculation finishes, we will send you a notification. Be patient with this process: it is normal for it to take a few minutes, especially if many employees are assigned to the rule.

Duplicate

Creates all the variants of the same rule without having to configure it again from scratch. Bear in mind that you will need to assign the copy to employees, as it does not carry over the employees of the original.

When duplicating, the system will ask you to name the copy. You can edit it later without affecting the original.

View assigned employees

Takes you directly to the "Assignments" tab of the rule detail, to check or modify who it applies to.

Use this option before making "major changes" to a rule, so you are aware of the actual scope of the recalculation you are going to trigger.

Delete

If the rule has no assigned employees or application history, delete it. If the rule does have assigned employees or history, you can choose between two options when clicking "Delete":

  • Delete going forward. Choose this option when you want the rule to stop applying from today (the query date), but keep the balances it already generated as they are.
  • Delete all history. Choose this option when you want to remove all assignments (past and future) and have balances and statistics recalculated from the start, deducting the extra time that rule has generated.

Use the second option if, for example, you need to correct balances that were calculated incorrectly.
